A new multi-faceted company formed by industry veterans Elena Rodrigo and Othn Zapata, that specializes in expanding the reach of various Latinmusic genres in U.S.A. with partners in the rest of the Continent.  The company focuses on integrating and providing services to the multiple demands the Latin artists and the U.S. Hispanic market has to keep growing and expanding into the general market.

 

The Story Behind The Music Joint Group

Pioneer in the promotion of the Latin Alternative Music in the US, Elena Rodrigo, founder of The Music Joint Group is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in all music genres.

For over two decades, Elena Rodrigo has been working with the most important and cutting edge new Latin acts of Latin America, Spain and the United States. She co-founded the first Indi label completely dedicated to the Latin rock talent in the US: Aztlán Records.

For 8 years, Elena Rodrigo worked as Senior Label Manager at Universal Music Latino where she lead the Rock Department and implemented successful marketing campaigns to develop  new artist such as Molotov, Juanes, Café Tacvba, Control Machete, Bersuit Vergarabat, Orishas,  Babasonicos, IKV and Mala Rodriguez, among many others, with whom she worked strategically to achieve their development and recognition in the United States. She was also the Senior Label Manager in Capitol Latin Records and lead the marketing and release campaigns for artists such as Zoé, & Enrique Bunbury  among others.

In 2007 created ER:M+M, an event promotions and artist development agency with public relations and College/non-commercial/online radio promotion and consulting services. Enrique Bunbury, Enanitos Verdes, Panteón Rococó, Campo, Novalima, Mala Rodriguez, Bebe, Eljuri, Motel, Black Tide, Disturbed, White Stripes, Pxndx and Bang Data are among the many artists that ER:M+M has helped developed with marketing, college radio and/or P.R. campaigns. Stadium sold-out concerts, such as the reunion of Spanish rock icon Héroes del Silencio and later the reunion of Argentinean rock legends Soda Stereo as well as the 40th Anniversary of Mexican rock/blues veteran and legendary El Tri, among other marketing and P.R. campaigns, have been directed by her own Agency ER:M+M.

ER:M+M also specialized in media campaigns to promote national tours, produce special events, pre-Grammy and Latin Grammy campaigns, showcases and artists participating in the SXSW in Austin and other special events like the Art Basel in Miami among other.

Today, Elena joined forces with other agencies and co-founded  The Music Joint Group, a multi-services Company that focuses in Latin music and market and currently is working with many top clients, artists, festivals and national tours around the U.S. & Mexico to continue expanding  and promoting  Latin music  to a National level and to cross over the general market.
